It Can Only Be...

As I was strolling through past posts and polls on the GFI, a fantastic idea occured to me. I now know who I believe the author of Dipper's books is. It's himself! It can only be! Let me explain.

Throughout the series, we've been immune to magical, parallel things like instant height change, real vs. virtual worlds, and so much more. But the most important thing we've encountered is -- time travel. Time travel! It's the solution! The author of Dipper's books is the future Dipper! It must be! He's learning these secrets of Gravity Falls, Oregon faster than anyone else. It must be him! Future Dipper! I am a Future Dipper Believer.
Now, you may agree to agree, or agree to disagree, but I myself and anyone else who has come to this conclusion, I think we're on to something

How to Read Atbash

Atbash the new way of deciphering the Gravity Falls codes. In the latest episodes, Alex Hirsch whispers "Switch around the Z" in the opening credits. This is what he means:

1. There are 26 letters in the alphabet, write half of them on one line (You do NOT have to write half of them, this just takes less time than writing out the alphabet.)

(the first thirteen letters)
A B C D E F G H I J K L M

2. Write the next 13 letters backwards on a line directly under the first 13.(You do NOT have to write half of them, this just takes less time than writing out the alphabet.) Like this:

Z Y X W V U T S R Q N O P

3. Put them together, and you get this:

A B C D E F G H I J K L M
Z Y X W V U T S R Q N O P


4. Whatever letter you see, for instance, A, it equals the letter directly under it, Z.

5. Decode

Here's are some sample words for you to practice:

(answers: cat, dog, gravity falls)

-MR. CAESARIAN WILL BE OUT NEXT WEEK. MR. ATBASH WILL BE SUBSTITUTE-

Caesarian is the decoding technique used to decode these secret messages. This probably means that for next week's episode we will not be using the Caesarian technique, we will be using Atbash.
